Counterfeit bank notes

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding 27. Other - Please provide details below, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

It has been brought to our attention that there is a number of fake bank notes being circulated in the Spennymoor area. There are people asking members of the public to swap fake £20 notes for change stating they require change for various reasons. If you are approached by anyone asking to swap money please refrain from doing this as the notes will probably be fake.
